Ladder Drills

Ladder drills help train athletes to be quick in every direction.

To get the most out of this training tool, athletes should challenge themselves with patterns they are not familiar with, patterns that may feel awkward, and patterns that force them to slow down to think.

Beginners should start with simple agility drills - and work toward more advanced stepping / foot placement drills. With any new drill, athletes should start slowly - even walk - until they are familiar with the steps.  

Simple drills for beginners -

Run - One Step Per Square
Run - Two Steps Per Square
Bunny Hops - Single Leg (Right)
Bunny Hops - Single Leg (Left)
Bunny Hops - Both Legs

Consistent training will help improve footwork -  and increase speed, agility and quickness.
