- Complete required training / background check
- Recruit volunteer coaches (two per team)
- Ensure volunteer coaches complete required training / background check
- Plan and facilitate coaches training - with the help of the AG Coordinator team / Rec Director
- Guide coaches towards learning techniques needed to develop coaching skills
- Oversee assessments
- Determine number of teams in increments of two, based on the number of players
- Form balanced teams based on age, schools, assessments / skill level and player requests - with the Rec Director's approval
- Provide coaches with team rosters via email
- Guide and assist coaches in running practices, covering games and conducting team meetings
- Communicate with coaches on a regular basis / Meet with Coaching Team as needed
- Distribute program information as needed
- Help set up / maintain fields - utilize coaches for goal set up / removal
- Distribute jerseys to coaches / players
- Distribute awards to coaches / players
- Be accessible to the parents and coaches
- Handle parent / player issues - report any concerns to Rec Director
- Attend AG Coordinator Meetings as set by Rec Director
- Support / assist Rec Director as needed
